Recipe Shirini Zaban
- Boil first, a mix syrup with sugar, honey, water, lemon juice, and saffron. Let it to cook over low heat 5 minutes.
- Ready when the sugar crystals dissolved.
- Let it cool.
- ——— Preheat the oven to 200°———
- Preheat the oven to 200°.
- Defrost puff pastry plates at room temperature for about 20 min.
- Push the oval shapes of the thawed puff pastry with dimensions and then cut a slit right through the dough.
- Place them on baking trays with baking paper.
- Use just half of syrup to brush puff pastry and then sprinkle with sugar.
- Bake in the middle of oven about 10-15 minutes until the cookies get golden yellow color.
- Do not open the oven door during the baking time.
- Remove the plate and brush over the rest of the syrup and sprinkle coconut flakes.
- Let cool on the baking sheet.
