  • Boil first, a mix syrup with sugar, honey, water, lemon juice, and saffron. Let it to cook over low heat 5 minutes.
  • Ready when the sugar crystals dissolved.
  • Let it cool.
  • ——— Preheat the oven to 200°———
  • Preheat the oven to 200°.
  • Defrost puff pastry plates at room temperature for about 20 min.
  • Push the oval shapes of the thawed puff pastry with dimensions and then cut a slit right through the dough.
  • Place them on baking trays with baking paper.
  • Use just half of syrup to brush puff pastry and then sprinkle with sugar.
  • Bake in the middle of oven about 10-15 minutes until the cookies get golden yellow color.
  • Do not open the oven door during the baking time.
  • Remove the plate and brush over the rest of the syrup and sprinkle coconut flakes.
  • Let cool on the baking sheet.
